Basic Cruising Standard

Cape Breton Sailing School is the Start of the Adventure.

Start on a Friday at 6.00 pm at St Peters Marina and finish at 4.00 pm on Sunday.

This two course is designed for the beginner with little or no experience and who wants to experience sailing and maybe move onto a boat of their own. or a new boat owner who would like to gain more experience and confidence.

Objective of this course is to be able to sail safely a sloop rigged keel boat 6 to 12 meters with an outboard or inboard motor in 5 knots to 20 knots of wind by day.

It may be possible to run this course during the week subject to availability.

The price is $990 basic per person per weekend. Two days living on board the boat with up to four crew plus the instructor.

Price includes meals and beverages.

Special Discounts: Save $40 per person when booking with four people,and $30 when signing up with 3 people.

Upon the completion of a practical skills evaluation and written Sail Canada (CYA) exam, successful candidates will be awarded the Sail Canada Start Keelboat Sailing Standard.
